Every religion has a certain religious attitudes and traditions in civilizations. Based on the following documents, some similarities are how to reach heaven, reincarnation, and religious teachings; some differences are they ways to reach heaven, who decides when you break the cycle of reincarnation, and which religion is being discussed. Documents 1, 3, and 5 are similar in that they explain how to reach heaven, but differ in the way in which to get there. In document 1, the main idea is that you need to give up unnecessary possession like riches and high social standings to reach heaven. The point of view could be from a priest or a congregation listening to a preacher.…
Reincarnation was the cycle of rebirth and how your spirit or soul, travels from one body to the next and what body, depends on how you behave in the current life. This severely impacted a vast majority because it, in a way, controlled how they behaved, how they acted to themselves, and especially to others. Two things that affected reincarnation were karma and dharma, Karma is the sum of actions in one's past life that decides the fate of their future one. Dharma is a list of spiritual duties one must fulfil within their present life in order to reach moksha (salvation or freedom of the soul) alas, only priests or nobles who pray and meditate enough are told that they can achieve this. Thus, it has power over a person's actions or at least directs them towards making consequential choices.…
The idea of Nirvana also ties in with the Hindu’s belief of reincarnation. Achieving Nirvana releases a person from the cycle of reincarnation. The philosophy brought a sense of unity to its followers and a sense of hope of a life without pain.…
Hindus believe in an endless circle of rebirths, while a particular few Jews believe that some souls are reincarnated into different people. Other…
A Midwesterner’s Approach to the Bhagavad Gita Throughout the course of the humanity’s existence, we have often mused, explored and sought means of making the unseen forces within our world tangible effects to better understand our connections with our spirituality. Part of what makes humans different than other species, is our never ending pursuit to comprehend what we cannot see beyond the physical realm. With much uncertainty of what lies ahead in our own lives, and the mystery of what happens to our spirit or soul once we leave this world, one would find it imperative to look towards the heavens, and within one’s self, to uncover what connection we have to a greater power. Written centuries ago, the Hindu verses which showcase teachings…
Unlike Confucianism, buddhism believe the life after death. They have Saṃsāra karma and rebirth. Samsāra is defined as the continual repetitive cycle of birth and death that arises from ordinary beings ' grasping and fixating on a self and experiences. Karma (from Sanskrit: "action, work") is the force that drivessaṃsāra—the cycle of suffering and rebirth for each being. And Rebirth refers to a process whereby beings go through a succession of lifetimes as one of many possible forms of sentient life, each running from conception[29] to death.…

People have a deep interest in bodies, both living and deceased. Throughout society, there are examples of what the good-looking, healthy, and all over ideal body is, with a billion-dollar industry behind it. There is also an enormous industry behind bodies of the deceased: specialists such as doctors, pathologists, and morticians work with corpses on nearly a daily basis. However, interest in dead bodies has grown astonishingly in the past few decades for a variety of reasons.…
About The Gita I chose to read The Bhagavad Gita, translated by Eknath Easwaran. In the preface Easwaran recalls a train ride from India to Simla, and making a stop in Kurukshetra. The name can literally be translated as “Song of the Lord”. This place was the setting of the Mahabharata. The Author compares the Gita to the Sermon on the mount saying that both have an “immediacy” and both are timeless.…
One of the main issues to this is New Agers do not have a great understanding to who God is and what He is truly about. They are numerous reasons that reincarnation is not just but instead Heaven and Hell is real and the way to each is through God for one reason or another. “Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment” (Hebrews 9:27, NIV). First, important to realize the nature of God is good and loving.…

Religion is a way to respond to the sometimes unanswerable questions in life. Religion is used to look for the ultimate meaning, and the purpose to these questions, when answered they can give a peace of mind to people. In our society today there are five main religions practiced in the world, these are; Judaism, Hinduism, Islam, Christianity and Buddhism. The eight characteristics of a religion include cultic practices or rituals, beliefs, sacred stories, social structure, sacred texts, sacred symbols, religious ethics and religious experiences. Out of the 5 major religions I have chosen Buddhism.…
Therefore through extensive examination between Buddhism and Hinduism the thought of rebirth plays an role that will be important the religions as one as one has greed and desires. The little differences exist involving the two religions based on the notion in a presence this is certainly divine. It is as a result; Buddhists prefer the definition of rebirth over reincarnation signifying the real difference that is key…
Reincarnation plays a huge part in the belief systems of each religion. Hinduism, Jainism, and Buddhism all believe in rebirth after death, and place responsibility on the individual in order to achieve liberation from this endless cycle. However, Buddhism teaches that there is no permanent soul and doesn’t put emphasis on the “self.” Its primary focus is on attaining spiritual enlightenment (nirvana) and eliminating all mental suffering, thus dispelling the illusion of existence. Contrastively, the main objective of Hinduism is to suppress desire and therefore be liberated from reincarnation.…
Through reincarnation, you are bound to get another chance and with that second chance, you have got to make it count. One thing that will help your chances to actually get a good second chance is having moral values. A lot of things can go into this but having moral values is definitely on the top of the list. Not everyone really knows what it means to have this characteristic and that, I believe, is the main reason why their first life goes to hell. Moral values serve as a vantage point which guides us and aids us in our conscious mobility in life.…
