Beyonce and her singing group were discovered by Whitney Houston. This was in the 1990’s. The original members Beyonce & LaTavia Roberson were just 19 years old; the two of them met at an audition and soon became friends.
Eventually Beyonce ended up going solo. Beyoncé’s first solo recording was a feature on Jay Z’s 03 bonnie & Clyde that was released in October 2002, the song was number 4 on the U.S. billboard. Her first solo album Dangerously in Love
