When considering the greatest performers in history, renowned artists and groups such as Michael Jackson, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, and Louis Armstrong. When looking at present day, examining the greatest performers tends to be more difficult. We can define a performer, simply, as “a person who entertains an audience.” (source3) With this, anyone could be a performer, however when defining what makes a performer one of the best performers there is, the criteria becomes far more complex. Being considered one of the best performers goes beyond being able to merely entertain an audience. The only performer presently that meets and exceeds the standards for being one of the best performers is artist Beyoncé. Beyoncé not only “entertains an audience”, she puts on a grand spectacular show at each and every performance she does which makes it something to be experienced. Beyoncé uses her fame and popularity to do well in the world rather than just be concealed in the power and money. On The Run was the last tour Beyoncé performed with husband and rapper Jay-Z. The average cost per ticket was $342.67. (Source 32). The cost for this specific tour was priced “51.39% higher than Eminem and Rhianna tickers for their… Monster Tour.” (Source 32). There is a reason to why ticket prices for Beyoncé’s performances are so high and why the shows will still sell out. Beyoncé doesn’t just perform, she puts on a grand show. All her performances are something to experience. Beyoncé includes varies aspects of staging, technology, and choreography in her performances in order to have this effect. In her performance
