Beyonce Knowles admitted that she lip sync on Inauguration Day. She decided to confront the public that she did lip sync when performing the National Anthem in front of millions of people, including the President of the United States, but she will “absolutely be singing live during her Super Bowl halftime show” (CBS News 1). On that note, Beyonce wanted her performance of President Barack Obama to be a memorable one. She was honest, but still proud of her performance because it was an honorable moment for all people to remember. In other words, she explained, “Due to no proper sound check, I did not feel comfortable taking a risk. It was about the president and I wanted to make him and my country proud” (CBS News 2). This statement shows that Knowles had the power to stand strong by admitting what she had done wrong. However, she showed no remorse about her interpretation of the star-spangled Banner in front of the Capitol. Therefore, this proves that Beyonce face challenges in her life, but seeks other ways to keep going and to never give up. …show more content…
People were disappointed with Beyonce, because they viewed a beautiful and talented woman who was afraid of taking a risk. To eliminate the rumors Beyonce admitted lip sync herself and decides to sing live at the Super Bowl. On the other hand, a question had lingered whether Destiny’s Child reunion be a part of the show. In other words, Beyonce has benefited the group by the winnings they have received and her becoming solo. The official said, “Beyonce reportedly saw no issue with using the prerecorded. She did not think there was anything wrong with it”(US Weekly). This statement shows that Beyonce herself feels that her actions were worth it.
