I am seriously just confused. How on earth did some people miss the point of that so drastically?
But it’s not just women. Many men are joining the feminist cause, while others fight against it. Things often heard by male feminists are – “You’re a man. Isn’t that a contradiction?” or “Wait, are men allowed to be feminists?” or “Are you even a man at all?” And to that I say, at least as far as I am concerned, men should ignore all such comments. Because men are absolutely allowed to be feminists. Sexism doesn’t just hurt women, it affects humanity as a whole.
My personal feminism is a simple belief in equality. I’m a feminist because I believe that men and women are and should be equal, but we’re not treated equally right now. We see misogyny everywhere.
