“All students must deal with the pressure to abstain from doing evil”, Tony Wing stated. Evil is described as doing or being something that is morally wrong or bad. In this narrative about temptation and protection, Wing compares the story Numbers in the bible, to the life of a college student. As a college student you are more independent than before, which can either be good or bad. When someone is handed temptation on a silver platter some find it hard to refutation usually will not stop at one attempt. Temptation could be a list of things; partying, misusing money, and procrastinating on assignments. Wing explains how these things can be compared to similar story in the bible.

King Balak’s request in the bible is like temptation on campus. It comes multiple ways and in multiple forms. The donkey are our friends that go along with us, and lead us to our temptation. The Angel of the Lord is the sign that God sends down to us in our time of temptation. When our friends understand the sign and try to turn away, it is our job to make the correct decision for us. In the story, Balaam was faced with temptation. When his donkey noticed something was wrong, Balaam turned to anger towards his donkey for not behaving correctly. In Gods eyes, by Balaam negatively responding to the sign, it means that he questioned the sign and did not see its power. Overall, no matter the temptation life presents you, spiritually or physically, someone or something will be sent to you as a sign. Do not question the sign, as it is there to keep you on the right
