Betty White was not born famous, she had to work very hard to be where she is today. In the 92 years she has been alive, she has been nominated into to the television hall of fame, been married three times, is a huge animal rights contributor, and is one of the funniest and best actresses that have ever lived. She doesn't care about what people think, she just cares about her accomplishments, and her life. Betty White is only five foot four. She loves acting. She is of Danish Greek background. She started the show The Betty White show in 1954. By 1955 she had started getting into to different kinds of animal activists groups. She always loved animals, so once she started making money she knew that she wanted to be donating some of it to animal groups and to charity. (Matinee Classics) She has donated more than 3 million dollars to charity. She doesn't just donate to animal rights though she also donates to many charities that have to do with kids. In 1962, she had her first film offer. Her first film debut was advise and consent. It went very well, and she made a very good name for herself by doing the film. She had the offer to do another movie shortly after for a lot of money, but she turned down this offer because she didn't like the treatment of one of the animals in the movie. She claimed that they had been treating a dog wrong and she didn't like the way they worked. People then started to think that she might not have been the right actress if she can't even do her second movie deal because of something so simple as a dog being treated badly.
