Betty Boop Character Analysis

Spending time with my classmate and my new friend, who I will call Betty Boop, has really opened my eyes for my future. Betty Boop is truly an inspiring person who has touched my heart. For my last journal, I am going to talk about chapters eight through fourteen in my textbook, Adult Development and Aging by John Cavanaugh and Fredda Blanchard-Fields. First, I asked Betty Boop if she has met her personal goals over the years. She had to stop and think about this as we were at the bowling alley having a good time. After Betty Boop bowled, she looked at me and said that she had met her personal goals. “I have lived in Hawaii, I have been married, I have the best family and friends, and most of all, and I have God.” To me, personal goals are opportunity you get to do that can change your life. According to my textbook, personal goals are across a person’s lifespan starting a young adult age (Cavanaugh, 2015). Betty Boop’s advice for my classmate and I was, to never give up on our life goals. “Go the extra mile because life is too short and always remember to pray to God daily”. Betty Boop asks daily about how my paper is coming along and she wants to help me every chance I get. We got on the topic of midlife crisis and what we have seen people do during their midlife crisis. Betty Boop told me about her gentleman friend and how he got a motorcycle during his midlife crisis.
