Better Halves Analysis

To begin with I went to go see an art gallery that contained artwork made by Suzanne Staud. I thoroughly enjoyed all of her artwork. It was incredibly interesting, We were was even able to ask Suzanne Staud a few questions. The art gallery that we were able to attend was very fantastic, one of the questions we asked Suzanne Staud, was what had inspired her artwork, and she was able to explain to us that this specific art gallery, was what represented her past. The art gallery was really entertaining and the four art works that I enjoyed the most and are going to be analyze are Better Halves, My Cross, Bingo, and Wild Ride. First off my opinion is that my favorite out of all these paintings would be Better Halves. The painting, Better Halves, is very colorful, she has a variety of colors in Better Halves like red, blue, yellow, green, and orange. The artwork also had many lines in the painting that separated the shown colors, however the painting was still able to make a shape. For the painting Suzanne Staud used water colors. The painting can be described as having two faces looking at each other, with one have their lips puckers on the left, while one has their tongue out on the right, which could possibly represent the goofiness, or the masculinity of the face to be seen as a man. This artwork is seen as a bird, with the background being full of color. The wild ride is most likely a representation of how flying would be insane to Suzanne. Suzanne also used a bird in her artwork My Cross so there is a possibility that a bird holds a significant meaning to Suzanne. There is a possibility that Suzanne actually wishes to be a bird sometimes to be able to fly, and the title Wild Ride is seen as something fun to her. When I first saw the Wild Ride I assumed it was a fish, which is quite interesting considering that my friend saw the artwork as a bird, which I now see it
