While it can be difficult to maintain the water temperature in a tank, it's absolutely necessary that you have one. There are two reasons for this. First of all, if your Betta gets too stressed out over a period of time, his immune system will become compromised, and he'll begin to lose his ability to fight off infection and disease. The second reason is that your Betta is used to living in water that is between 75 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit - and he will become listless and unresponsive if the water is too far above or too far below that temperature.…

The crayfish need an “internal or external canister filter” in their fish tanks to provide the prime environment for growth (Pierce n.d.). A canister filter continuously cleans the water within the tank to maintain the ecosystem for the crayfish. An internal canister filter hangs inside on the glass tank, while an external canister filter hangs outside on the glass tank. These canister filters are the best option for a fish tank because, without them “20-30% of the water” in the fish tank would have to be “changed daily to get rid of debris, feces, and uneaten food” (FishGuy, 2012). With these filters present, the caretaker does not have to change the tank water every day, but it would be in his/her best interest to change the water at least…

To protect the interest of the salmon farm industry the government allows the farms to keep the information pertaining to salmon confidential. 1) Pacific Salmon Life Cycle a) As it stands, man-made dams disrupt the complex and specific life cycle of the Pacific salmon. Dams impact and affect the pivotal reproduction of the salmon species by causing a disturbance in the pattern of migration during the reproductive season. The Pacific salmon goes through two miracles in its lifetime of transformations of changing its entire system to go form fresh water to salt water. The miracles of the fish bodies adapting to the change in environment are caused by migration for dietary and security reasons. Salmon migrate from a young age from freshwater streams into the ocean because of an abundance of food and less predators to increase the probability of growing to mature reproductive age.…

Both navigational and migratory behaviors are seen in a large variety of vertebrates across all spheres of life. Migration is defined as a mass leaving of one place for another, pre-determined one, on a repeating basis (Merriam-Webster 2018).…
