Beta Club Officer Research Paper

Improved Essays
I want to be a Beta Club officer for various reasons. Some of them include working with a team/group, helping others in our community, and being able to gain experience that can be used in the future.
I believe that in order to be a good, productive member of anything you have to be able to work and cooperate with others. One great way to practice that is by working with other experienced Beta Club officers and members. When I am given group projects I always make sure that everyone in the group is heard. I try my hardest to hear everyone’s opinion on how we should execute our project.
Community service is something that I consider a big part of my life. My dad always encourages me to give back to my community whether it be by simply donating

Community service means to help out those who are in need. To give some of your own time to be able to assist those who are less fortunate. During the Special Olympics I went with my AFJROTC group to volunteer our time to help out with the event. We helped out to run the games and make sure everything ran smooth for the participants. It was an enjoyable event but what really made it worthwhile was to see all of the kids being so excited to be able to compete in the event.…

I have been involved in many different community service opportunities. One of my favorite was Farm Fest. Two separate years my school put on a field day event for special needs kids and families all over Wilmington. The event was almost completely run by my fellow high schoolers and me. I also had the opportunity to participate in several special needs basketball games, both as a fan and on the court.…

How community service has affected me Community service has been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. Volunteering and being asked to perform in musicals and plays at our local theatres has been a fantastic experience for me that I hope I’ll be able to continue my whole life in every city that I land throughout my journey. Through acting and dancing we inspire children and adults alike to live their dream and even soften a few hearts if we can. I’ve watched lives change in just a matter of minutes; even if it’s just one child shouting “Mommy I want to be a performer one day!” at the top of their lungs after watching a performance.…

The first time I participated in a community service activity was Snack Pak 4 Kids. Snack Pak 4 Kids is a non-profit organization that helps provide food to students over the weekend so that they are well fed and ready to learn in school, because who can learn on an empty stomach? As I helped put food into each bag, it made me realize how big of a difference I was making in the community by simply putting a granola bar, orange juice, beef jerky, and other nutritious food in a bag. When we ran out of food to put in the bags, the people that ran the organization announced that we had enough bags worth of food to feed about 7,000 children and that astonished me. As I went home I felt really satisfied about giving back to my community for the first time and since then I’ve been participating more in community service…

Throughout my years in high school, I’ve decided to be more open minded than I was throughout middle school. The start of my freshman year, I started contemplating on what career path I would pursue after graduation. On the first day of school I was assigned to an agricultural class due to the fact that other elective classes were filled. I didn’t want to be in that class but I’m glad I stuck to it because it was a wonderful experiment.…

This community service is educational, but it is not entirely based on basic studies taught in the classroom. This community service opened my eyes to new perspectives on life. Currently, I talk to many youths about discrimination. Talking to them is very meaningful to me because I get to learn new experiences from them, and I get to share my wisdom as well. Since I am around their age, we get to form bonds, bonds that lead to close friendships.…

Service is something that is very important to me because it positively impacts my life. Working to help others makes me feel happy because I take pleasure in helping others. When I helped at a hypothermia shelter, it was a nice feeling to be able to give people food who couldn’t get it otherwise, and to see their smiles while I served them. I believe that community service has made me a better person through giving me opportunities to work with people who are less fortunate than me. Whether it be through helping learning, serving food, or just overall helping take care of children, I think that the service that I have given has positively impacted others’ lives.…

As a person I have been a diabetic ever since the age of three. However, I have been able to manage both my diabetes and my education and have been proud of this. Even though I am diabetic, I like people to view me as myself rather than my disease because my personality gives off who I am, not the diabetes. I enjoy taking on challenges as it leaves a learning experience for me and benefitting from it. As a person, I enjoy doing community service as it makes me feel involved that I am helping my community rather than being the person who just goes to school for their education and not to do anything else.…

There are many different ways in order to give back to the community. A few of these ways include money, time and attitude. Money is, of course, essential to living, therefore a huge amount of money would definitely be helpful but not always necessary. One person does not need to give thousands of dollars to make a difference because someone else can give one dollar and still impact the community. It should be an effort from everyone in the community to give back that way one person doesn 't have to give everything.…
