The hot rays of the sun dazzle the windows of the ice cream shop as I peer in nervously, hoping that nobody I knew was inside. “Come on Ava,” my mom says, holding the shop door open. “I can’t stand here forever!” In the corner of my eye, I catch a glimpse of Heather and a couple of her friends laughing and eating huge ice cream sundaes complete with a mountain of toppings at a table in the back of the shop. Reluctantly, I trudge through the door, trying to keep my head low, in hopes that Heather and her friends wouldn’t see me.
No such luck. Upon setting eyes on me, Heather immediately sashays towards me with a smirk on her face. Even without her sequined shirts and bedazzled shoes, her blonde highlights are enough to blind my eyes. “What are you doing

He must be pretty strong, and there was probably only so much the ice cream cone could take, because the next thing I know, a loud crack fills the air and fragments of waffle cone, ice cream, and sprinkles fly through the air. However, the majority of the ice cream had fallen onto the table and sits there in a dripping lump. Nathan sits in his chair, his big green eyes staring at what remained of his ice cream, too shocked to react. Then, as if something clicks his brain, Nathan starts to fumble about, trying to pick up the blob of ice cream with his hands.
“Ice cweam… my ice cweam, my ice cweam!” Nathan mumbles while the ice cream slides about the table, slipping through his fingers like a swimming fish.
“Nathan! Stop that now,” says my dad, attempting to immobilize Nathan. But his efforts were only in vain because in a matter of seconds, Nathan squirms out of his grasp and resumes trying to pick up his ice cream. A mass of hands reach for the ice cream, knocking the single scoop onto the floor. Nathan jumps up from his chair and begins crawling around on all fours.
