Introduction
My current employer, is in the aviation industry for whom telecommunication plays an extremely critical role. For the past 10 years, they had outdated technology managed by minimal staff. This affected communication but increased costs in keeping the present technology alive. Also, since the airport is constantly seeing changes and expanding, it gets difficult to manage with the communication resources we currently have and makes it impossible to add more users to the existing system. Considering all the factors, the aviation authority decided to outsource the Unified Communication department to implement the latest technology and maintain and manage day to day activities.

Best Solution Inc were also in a better position to deal with system down issues and needed less downtime since they had the resources and capability needed. Vendor 1 or Vendor 2 typically call the product vendor for support if the system goes down and we wanted to eliminate the middleman and outsource directly to the product manufacturer to get better and faster support, which is crucial to our business. Choosing Best Solution Inc., was not the most cost effective option available, but all other evaluation criteria held a higher priority over the …show more content…
