Bessie Smith is “easily the most famous classic blues singer of her time.” (Rockin’ out textbook – page 30) She was a great singer and was like by many people. She spent many years perfecting her voice and singing and she did just that! Bessie Smith decide to combine country blue with jazz to make something different and everyone seemed to enjoy it.
