Bernie Sanders: Women’s Reproductive Rights

Bernie Sanders is running for president and has expressed his views on different political issues regarding women’s reproductive health. There’s different opinions surrounding the idea of abortion and women’s reproductive health services. For years throughout his political career he has discussed women’s rights. Compared to other candidates Bernie Sanders dedication to bettering the lives of women shows through his opinions on abortions, institutions that aid women and provide legal and safe environments for women in a medical setting.
Every candidate has their opinions on abortion and women’s reproductive health. “"I am pro-life" and pledged to fight for the reversal of ObamaCare, which contains abortion funding loopholes.” (Issues). Donald Trump changed his opinion on abortion, and decided to become pro-life rather than pro-choice. Another candidate Hillary Clinton, states “I think abortion should remain legal, but it needs to be safe and rare. And I have spent many years now, as a private citizen, as first lady, and now as senator, trying to make it rare, trying to create the conditions where women had other choices.” (Issues). Hillary Clinton claims to be pro-choice, but constantly uses the term rare, and tries to provide other options to avoid abortion.
