What is money and what importance does this form of currency hold in society? What can be acquired with money? Is one of capable of living without having the bare essentials such as food, shelter or clothing? Each person has a range of necessities that cost a certain amount. We all want to live decent lives but for some that is not an option. To live one must obtain a job so they will be able to consume but a job only offers the state or federal minimum wage law. Most Americans are unable to support themselves and their families with the minimum wage and with that comes the demand for them to apply for government assistance. This policy is beneficial since one can begin to consume and spend which will put money into circulation. Not only will the policy be able to make consumers shop for goods or services this has the potential to assist fellow Americans in poverty. I support this policy due to the fact that there are millions of American families unable to feed their children or pay their bills. This policy holds promise that some Americans have lost and can bring hope to the hopeless. Sander’s supports the movement to raise the minimum wage to $15 since he wants to lend a hand to fellow Americas so one is able to obtain a living wage. I support the policy since the minimum wage laws have an effect on my paycheck and if the amount I receive is inadequate with the rise of the cost of living that can cause a problem. I feel this policy would benefit all not just myself and I believe there is potential for greater possibilities. This policy is simple and practical however there can be some delays since Americans are indecisive about the policy.
