According to stophunger.org, Hunger kills more people each year than AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis combined. The vast majority of hungry people, 780 out of 795 million people, live in developing countries. Most of the people, who are hungry, both in rich and in poor countries, are surrounded with food that they cannot have. So does there seem to be a problem? It can’t be any clearer that there is a serious economic issue affecting lower income people. Bernie Sanders is a current US Senator who is among one of the top candidates for the 2016 presidency. Throughout his political career, Bernie Sanders has focused on the growing gap between the rich and poor in the United States of America, which is known to be one of the most developed countries in the world. Sanders was born in 1941 and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He is currently a social Democratic supporter and after his second term as a US Senator Bernie Sanders has decided to join the 2016 elections for the presidency. On his website Bernie Sanders posted an article under the topic of Current Issues, named “Income and Wealth Inequality.” The author in the article is not listed but is represents Sanders ideas on the topic and proposes what changes he can make. Through the article Bernie Sanders hopes to persuade more voters towards him. He presents the problem of income and wealth inequality and then proposes changes in policies that could help.
