Introduction
As a woman, I know that there is an expectation from other women and men alike that I have to and must vote for Hilary Clinton for president. However, I respectfully have chosen another candidate that I feel exceeds qualifications to be our next president. I believe in a candidate who stands for justice, equality, and has been a civil rights activist since a very young age. I know as a young adult myself how incredibly hard it is to not only stand up for yourself but to consistently stand up for those who would otherwise not be seen or heard. Our country though advanced is still politically behind other advanced nations, it’s time that we have a political revolution that will help us move forward as a whole.
That’s why I feel Bernie Sanders exceeds the qualifications to become our next president. Bernie Sanders has always had America’s best interests at heart. Since his early 20’s Bernie Sanders has been involved in different programs that promote racial equality, peace and nonviolent committees. He has also been

Many are under the impression that socialism means that everything will be freely given to those who don’t work or earn enough money because they are lazy, on drugs, etc. However our country has socialist programs that benefit those in needs, examples are Obamacare, Veterans Association, Social Security, Public Housing, Welfare and Education. For example, there so many in this country that say they want to help and it’s our country’s responsibility to help veterans. Yet, every day they pass so many homeless people and they turn their noses up at them, and some of those homeless are the very veterans that they want to help and

Thomas Sowell argues how socialism is great in theory but in reality is a flawed and disappointing system in the article, “Socialism for the Uninformed”. Sowell presents the point that since socialism is so harmful, Bernie Sanders should not be president despite his appeal to the youth. He defends this claim by presenting examples of countries that were once prosperous but have become impoverished due to socialism. “While throngs of young people are cheering loudly for avowed socialist Bernie Sanders, socialism has turned oil-rich Venezuela into a place where there are shortages of everything from toilet paper to beer, where electricity keeps shutting down, and where there are long lines of people hoping to get food, people complaining that…

No one likes to be berated and lectured, or to be wrong or disrespected. When Bernie Sanders was preparing the speech he would eventually be giving to Liberty University, he had to have a clear understanding of the opinions and attitudes of his immediate audience, and knew that if he came across as doing any of these things, he would lose what small chance he had at gaining any support from them. It was because of this knowledge that Bernie Sanders decided that the best way to approach giving this speech would not be with a harsh argument intended to persuade his audience into seeing big social issues his way, he knew that they were beyond that in their Christian beliefs and their understanding of morals, and so he went with a different approach.…

Although the other Democrat candidate shares most of the same political views as Sanders, she does not have the credibility or respect needed to win; and none of the Republicans are serious candidates. .There is reliance on the rich to create jobs. “Political authorities at all levels believe that if they are unfriendly to business interests, they will run the risk of slowing business activity, reducing unemployment activity, reducing employment, and thus alienating voters” (MacEwan 9). The super-rich have the majority of power in American politics even though they make up a scant minority of citizens. The insurance companies explanations are the persons health conditions are to severe or a procedure was experimental so it did not qualify them for coverage. With all the denial letters being sent out, it was making the rich richer, and the poor are losing their lives just so the companies do not lose money. This is also important for other competitors in this process. In a socialist system, people don’t need to compete for their development because everything belongs to the community; instead of this they compete for political power, which causes much instability in socialist countries. This harms the development of the countries, and it also helps explain why many capitalist countries are secure, such as the United States and Canada. On the other hand, socialism may be viewed as superior to capitalism because it seeks for social justice and promotes education. Socialism, a general term for the political and economic theory, advocates a system of collective or government ownership and management of the means of production and distribution of goods.…
