In the interview with Jonathan Merritt of Religion News Service, Peterson was asked, "If you were pastoring today and a gay couple in your church who were Christians of good faith asked you to perform their same-sex wedding ceremony, is that something you would do?" To which he responded with a simple: "Yes." Dear Mrs. Kolich, I was surprised at how, in Their Eyes Were Watching God, Zora Hurston decided to develop Janie from the beginning of the novel to the end. I thought the way she used each of her husbands and how each husband played a specific role in Janie developing her own voice and developing her own person. In Their Eyes Were Watching God, by Zora Hurston, Janie embarks on a journey where she finds self-knowledge of what it means to be a woman in a predominantly patriarchal society.…

In the short story, By the Waters of Babylon, by Stephen Vincent Benet, (April 25, 1963) there seems to be a strong correlation between nuclear fallout and the death of the gods. In the story the author makes three claims which would lead someone to believe so; “not all they did was well done,” “fire (was) falling from the sky,” and that “there was a mist that poisoned.” When the author stated that not all they did was well done, I feel he’s referring to the state of their city, their disputes, and their lack of motivation. The gods’ city is in ruins and therefore unkempt. Their disputes are solved with violence, and for that reason, John deems them lazy.…

It was with these feelings that I began the creation of a human being.” When fire was taken away from the humans Prometheus made, Prometheus went against Zeus to bring the fire back to mankind.…
