Hero is an ordinary individual who finds the strength to perseve and endure inspite of overwhelming obstacles. An epic hero is larger than life character that magnifests the values and traditions of his culture.A hero is a man of distinguished courage admired for his brave deeds and noble qualities. Beowulf and Batman both possess these characteristics. In this essay I am going to talk about an epic hero Beowulf and a modern day hero Batman through different sources of information. Beowulf and Batman both possess the heroic quality of strength. Beowulf shows his strength in the battle with Grendel. Beowulf cuts off Grendel’s arms using his hands without any weapon.
