Beowulf is a traditional story that was told many styles back in ancient times. This style is the story of a young hero who defeats the strongest monsters and ruled his kingdom until the day he died. He had so many unbelievable qualities that no other man had. Beowulf defended the Hrothgars kingdom by defeating two powerful monsters, Grendel and his mother. After Beowulf defeated them, he returned back to his homeland where he became king for over fifty years. In his final days, Beowulf had to defeat a powerful dragon because a thief had stolen from it. Beowulf was old and had help by a warrior, named Wiglaf, and together they both killed the dragon; unfortunately beowulf did not survive the attacks he had received from the dragon. Beowulf made the choice to fight Grendel with his bare hands, people must have thought he was crazy, but little did they know about his amazing strength. Beowulf defeated Grendel without a lot of trouble, and he also took off one of Grendel’s arm. A young warrior defeated a powerful monster and ripped off his arm, and all of that was done with bare hands. Beowulf had so much confidence in himself, and that could have a big influence on using his strength. Beowulf had to be very brave to fight all the giants at an early age in his life, and it takes courage to fight with everything he has. He also had a lot of bravery and courage to fight Grendel barehanded, no other warrior would have ever considered that, Beowulf’s final battle was his toughest yet, he was old but he knew he had to fight no matter how hard the challenge. He had to fight a dragon, a king his age would not have been brave enough to fight at that age. He also showed a lot of courage to fight, because he knew that this time, he would not survive the fight. Beowulf was just different than anyone else, and that will always be rare to have, he was born with those
