Beowulf made the choice to fight Grendel with his bare hands, people must have thought he was crazy, but little did they know about his amazing strength. Beowulf defeated Grendel without a lot of trouble, and he also took off one of Grendel’s arm. Beowulf had to be very brave to fight all the giants at an early age in his life, and it takes courage to fight with everything he has. He also had a lot of bravery and courage to fight Grendel barehanded, no other warrior would have ever considered that, Beowulf’s final battle was his toughest yet, he was old but he knew he had to fight no matter how hard the challenge. He had to fight a dragon, a king his age would not have been brave enough to fight at that age.
