Beowulf
Beowulf is an epic hero who is on a quest to defeat the evil Grendel, save his own people from the dragon, and save the remaining danes. He risks death for glory, He battles with grendel, and the dragon he also performs braves deeds throughout the poem beowulf. Our main character Beowulf runs into many quest. He wants to defeat Grendel who comes out during the night to destroy all the danes. The danes are out good timing in the hall with king Hartgo the mightiest king of the land. Grendel hates the danes and he does not like all of the fun they are having, the loud music angers grendel he is of evil he so having fun is a problem when it comes to him. Lines 1-4 A powerful monster, living down In the darkness, growled in pain, impatient As day after day the music rang Loud in that hall, the harp's rejoicing. This line shows the hatred grendel has inside of him as the danes and the king enjoy one's company. Beowulf heard about all the chaos grendel was causing so he chose the mightiest he could find. Beowulf was known for being a very strong and brave warrior the brave deed was getting rid of Grendel, Grendel's Mom, and the defeating the dragon. In order to defeat grendel's mother he had to dive into the sea where no man has ever returned. Beowulf killed her son so now she is fierce he hear filled with more evil than ever before she is out to destroy the mighty beowulf, so he is forced to go and face her. Another brave deed beowulf does is leaving his homeland to help defeat a horrible monster and he is asking nothing in return, It takes lots of courage to go up against a man-eating monster without being rewarded something. Beowulf is not only a risk taker he is a glorified warrior who will do anything to protect his people, even if it means sitting his life on the line to do
