Character Perspective of Beowulf

Grendel’s Mother is angry after Beowulf killed Grendel. I enter Heorot looking for revenge for my son, so I look for the first man I could find. It was so hard to get to the men because they had armor and food all over the hall. By the time I reached my first victim I was so hungry I ate him in two gulps. From the head to waist and then waist to feet, but then I felt a pair of beady eyes watching me. That's when I realized that he was watching me to see how I move, act, and kill. Then I found my sons hand, so I grabbed it and took the king's best man with me as a hostage and possibly a snack if I get hungry. I ate everything of the man except his head and I left it just before the lake entrance, so they could find where I am at. As I waited for Beowulf and his men I cared to my son who suffered a mortal injury after his hand was cut off. Then I checked the lake to see if anyone was coming and I saw Beowulf slaying the Sea Dragon. I went directly back into the cave to hide and ambush Beowulf because he lost his armor and sword while battling the sea dragon. He then came to my lair and he found the air pocket and came to the surface to find my home. He wandered around aimlessly looking for me and then found Grendel bleeding out from the injury he suffered. Then I sprang down from the hole I was hiding in and hit him over the head, he was shocked by the shear blunt, and bounced back. He kept on dodging my hits and then he found the long sword from my last victim, he grabbed it and started

The only way anyone could possibly defeat the monster was through hand to hand combat. “Beowulf’s warriors worked to defend their lord’s life, laying about them as best they could with their ancestral blades... There was something that could not be known at the time, that no blade on earth, no blacksmith’s art could ever damage their demon opponent.” Lines 794-802…

In the film for example, King Hrothgar commits suicide, there is no evidence in the text supporting this. The film implies that Beowulf takes interest in the queen, while in the text there is no evidence of any romantic interest among them.
