Imagine the following scene. After block one, you scream “Miserable me.” as you extinguish the flames of a fried brain. Hesitant steps, hardy mind map, humiliating pep talk is the hallowed ritual of a “classic” teen before they enter another class. However, you know in between class you are going to face obstacles and reemerge as Beowulf, freshly ripped out of that cave, triumphed with grappling extremely serious personal challenges. “What cave?”, you might ask. You know, the dreadful intersection right in front of the library. The one made up of lost freshmen, dramatic sophomores, tired juniors, and the coffee-induced seniors. Yes! That one. As you buckle up for the road of trials, you try to look like the undisturbed, pretty flower. But only you know that you are an annoyed serpent underneath, wishing you could hiss at those bumping into you. Now, you are resistant to any odor, any germs, or anything outright disgusting …show more content…

Mentally welcome those who annoy you with a warm greeting: “Abandon all hope, ye who enter here.” Just like the faulty Hypocrites dressed in lead lavish robes, those annoying people must also pay for their sins in hell. Maybe the adults might think this is an inappropriate mindset for a 16 year old, but at least Dante would be your best friend. He will applaud you for your sense of just. Afterall, he did believe a punishment must be fit for the severity of a crime. You are now most likely satisfied with the image of others suffering, but I warn you to control your anger. The Evolution of Beowulf Throughout the story of Beowulf the great hero accomplishes three great feats against three terrible monsters. On the surface of each battle readers can see that Beowulf portrays wlenco, however, if we look a little deeper into each conflict we can see positive character development within Beowulf himself. In this poem Beowulf clashes with Grendel, Grendel’s mother and the dragon that ravages his community; within each battle Beowulf has a subtle change in character that eventually leads him to become a great king. They created idealistic leaders who were strong warriors, wise, and followed strong morales. Beowulf becomes king of the Geats after his uncle and cousin die, and as a ruler, he rules in peace and prosperity without a complaint from his people (Beowulf 745-747). Even in his death, he remains a humble hero, asking for nothing but for the safety and well-being of his people (Beowulf 751-764).…
