In Anglo-Saxon hero monday hero are the same as people who were in Anglo-Saxon time period. Like in today's society police officers and army people are heroes because they protect us with their honer like a superhero would do in a comic book. The three characteristic that Beowulf should is strength larger than life, bravery/courage, sense of justice. Beowulf real shows that he is all three of those characteristic because that it what he shows in the book,movie. First of all Beowulf shows that he has strength when he fought Grendel. Beowulf said “If weapons were useless, he’d use the strength in his fingers” (506-507). This quote proves that he does not need an weapons to fight Grendel because he is stronger. Also Beowulf proves that he does not need a weapon because he defeated Grendel with his bare hands. “… then struck of His head with a single swift blow.” (560-561). This quote make us learn by showing how strong Beowulf is by hitting somebody with his bare hands and knocking their heads right of. Third of all Beowulf real shows this Sense of justice the most. “I've never known fear ... if the dragon hiding in his tower dares to face me.” (624-628). This quote desperate that Beowulf does not think that he will make it after fighting the dragon because he doesn't have the faith like he did when he faced Grendel,Grendel mother. Also it shows that Beowulf strength and also sense of justice went down because he barely defeated the dragon. “Then the Geats built the tower... from far and wide” (843-845).
