A hero is a man or woman who is admired for their achievements and noble qualities. Whether in reality or in a fictional place the hero will have to have courage to fight, the ability to overcome great obstacles and the leadership to guide others. Beowulf a character of a fictional epic poem and Ashoka, real time Indian ruler are both excellent examples of heroes. Many parallels can be seen in these two heroes through their similarities, nevertheless, these heroes also have the differentiable qualities.
