Beowulf had many great and heroic events in his life but does him saving the Geats from Grendel really make him a Hero? Beowulf in the story says he hears the Geats singing all the way in Denmark but how could someone hear from that far away? Unless he had the perfect hearing no one would hear so clearly. We still have to give a little credit for Grendel it takes a lot of work being a “Monster.” Grendel only did what was best to keep himself happy and healthy, plus he did take 12 years before he struck again, the first time he struck they went CRAZY!
