Some are more noticeable than others. One of the themes was that we all have bad in us. Beowulf even said this in the book. It means that no matter how good you are you still have done bad things. Doing one bad thing doesn't make you a bad person. You need to take what you learned from what you did then know what to do better next time. If you don't admit that you did something wrong you will do it again. You need to learn from the experience and improve as a person. Another theme that you may relate to is that the are so called “monsters” in our life. We don't have to be a hero with a cape and an army to “conquer” our monsters.
