Benjamin gets angry when sometime doesn’t work and throws it. Their mother has died. They go to Charleston and they are burning King George. They hate King George because he didn’t reward them and he taxed too much. Benjamin is a very respected man and he was a captain. Benjamin doesn’t want Gabriel to go into war. Charleston fell into British rule. Gabriel is fighting in the war. Gabriel comes home injured.Thomas dies trying to save Gabriel. Benjamin and 2 of his sons go to shoot the British soldiers from afar. Benjamin was a really good solider , they save Gabriel from a bundle of soldiers.They go to their aunt’s plantation because their house is no more. Gabriel and his father both return to war.
