Born from a humble beginning in 1706 Benjamin Franklin was the tenth son of a soap maker out of seventeen children. Even though he was not born into wealth, he would have an immense impact on the fields of literature, mathematics, electricity and politics. He was educated until the age of ten when he quit school to begin working for his father crafting soaps, but that did not interest him very much, so he moved on to become an apprentice in his brother’s print shop.
