Franklin awoke from his slumber by the sound of thudding on his door. He scrambled out of bed, and felt around in the darkness for a shirt and a pair of pants.
“Cmon Franklin!, time to get up!” A woman's voice could be heard on the other side of the door.
“Coming Mum,” Franklin mumbled.
Still half-asleep, Franklin made his way to his bedroom door and fumbled around for the door knob.
Waiting for him on the other side of the door was his good friend Alexander.
“Hey Alex,” Franklin greeted him.
“Hey Big F!” Alex said.”
“Franky,” his Mum interrupted, “look at the state of yourself boy! Clean yourself up before you two need to get going.”
