The opposing side claims that the Student Success Act will permanently cut fundings towards education but also there is no promise that the act will even continue funding education. Secretary Arne who opposes this bill said “ The bill not only cement cuts in education funding for our children, but it also does nothing to guarantee states continue to invest in education” (Bidwell 1). However, according to my source “cement cuts” won’t happen but instead it will give help to many schools that are in need.“Democrats argue that the bill would send dollars out of the neediest schools to more affluents ounces (Brown and Layton 1).” The money would be used for schools who have more needs and less money. It will help improve many of the programs that need to be improved for the students to succeed in school. The article states “By moving the control to a local level, schools will be able to distribute funds based on the needs of their diverse student population (Gibbs 1).” Not every school is the same. Every school has different amount of students and staff, and they all have different needs.
