Is the penny really worth it? the penny has been on for centuries. it's actually really worth it since it balances advantages in countries . Even though people are just dispencing the penny, circulation must be corrected. the penny shouldn't be eliminated. Some advantages of having the penny helps the country. If we wouln't have the penny the government would need to "establish a system under which cash transaction would be rounded up or down"(source A). which means if we take it out a $10.34 would be $10.35 and a $3.38 would be a $3.40. Prices would go up or down. Pennys are made of zinc and copper. "Tennesse is rich in zinc", "Arizona is in copper"(source A) and Pennsylvania will take more advantage in production of money and Arizona
