The “ American Dream” for immigrants and citizens is to buy their dream house, car, stable job and go on their tropical vacation. The American Dream can mean different things to many people. The main reason why people come to America; they want financial freedom and to have a better life for their future families. But the question is if all immigrants or even American citizens can achieve their “American Dream” regardless their race or class? There are a new research on mobility that shows that there less mobility but more believes. Witch means rich getting richer and poor tend to stay poor. However, people who work hard and put their attention in to their thought they can pursue their “American Dream” regardless their race, immigration status

If the immigrant from Greece, without any money, language or family in United States or other illegal ……. can do it, why not someone who is citizen who fully speak English cant? There are some successful stories, such as Bill Gates,where people moved from low-income class up high for several reasons. However, not everyone will achieve the same amount of success but it is very possible to move from low-income class to middle class and higher. According to Janny Scott in “Shadowy Lines That Still Divide” where 58-years-old Wanda Brown said: “I grew up very poor and so did my husband…We’re not rich but we a comfortable and we are middle class and our son is better off than we are”. That only proves that those couple were working hard and moved from being poor to middle class. There are many reason why people not moving from lower class to upper such as; people in low-income families not even aware of the benefits available to them or some people may not even feel they are good enough or smart enough to make a move. However, there more reasons why they should try and work a bit harder to get a better future for their families. Just because some to even try because they are not informed about it or they might not have the tools to research about it. People need to star to believe in them selfs, just like Wanda Brown did.No one should feel that just because they are born in poverty or grew up in a lower class neighborhood, they have to stay that way or live that
