What used to be a computer lab class in school is now a daily requirement for the students. Researchers claim that using computers will save the schools money and make them more effective. While programmers have been trying to write programs that will teach the students. Eugene Moursund, professor at the University of Oregon, states, “With enough money, you can develop simulation that 's quite good, nearly indistinguishable from the real thing”. Understandably, this is making a lot of teachers nervous, they feel they are in danger of being replaced with a computer program (Clemmitt 2011). Currently, they are finding that the programs cannot replace the human element of teaching. A teacher can see if a child is struggling, if they are going through a hard time at home and need to make some accommodations. Meanwhile, all this technology is requiring additionally training for the teachers, which is taking more time away from the classrooms (Clemmitt 2011). In 2009, a Texas school did a pilot program using technology in all of the classes and they concluded that the students were less focused, had a poor attendance record and their test results did not improve. Consequently, they have not been able to see any long-term studies since most of these programs are less than a decade old (Clemmitt
