School for most students is generally a great experience, whether it is college or high school. Although most students thoroughly enjoy going to school, they will be the first to say that it can become very overwhelming and stressful. Many times students have a hard time coping with this stress of college or high school and develop issues. Most have heard of students gaining “the freshman fifteen,” or of students becoming overwhelmed, or even depressed due to being in school. Luckily, these students have options for overcoming stress, but one solution in particular is almost guaranteed to help in every aspect of a student’s life. The solution is exercising regularly. Many times students will say that exercising will only cause them more stress, or that they just have no time to exercise. The physical benefit of regular exercising is the most common known benefit, however many students have misinterpreted what benefitting physically from regular exercise actually means. Many students think of the physical benefits of exercising and automatically think about a slim, muscular figure. However, the physical benefits of exercise go far beyond just a good looking body. Exercising regularly is one of the best things a student can do for their body. A student that exercises regularly can significantly decrease the risk for health issues such as diabetes and heart disease, among others. Similarly, regular exercise builds stronger bones, which students could greatly benefit from later in life. In addition, regular exercise helps prevent weight gain and obesity among students, helping students to keep off the dreaded “freshman fifteen.” Furthermore, much research has shown that students who exercise regularly are all together in better physical health than those who do not
