The big question that everyone thinks but never wants to ask is, What is a privilege? No one is sure what it is, but we are all aware that we have it. There is a major connection between privilege and oppression. We need to focus our attention on pointing out that privilege is happening in our everyday lives. Privilege is a benefit that is only given to a certain group of people. The dominant groups are white, heterosexual, male, not disabled, Christian, upper class, and educated U.S. citizens. With privilege comes power which gives access to social, political, and economic resources.
