My love for helping others comes from people helping me when I was younger. We were lower class and my teachers helped take care of me. While I was playing forward I was in the box and was about to score, however the opposing team’s sweeper came behind me and kicked me in the side of the knee which ended up dislocating it, so I fell. Well while I was on the ground she kicked me in the top of the knee and because it was dislocated already it tore my ACL. Meaning, there was another trip to the physical therapist for me. This injury was more significant than my last one so I was more hysterical about it. Especially since I was supposed to play soccer for UAB this year. So, I was depressed and thought I would never get better, that is until I met Andy. Andy was my main physical therapist, others helped throughout the week, and the first thing he did for me was make sure that I understood that I was going to be alright. Then, he pushed me to my limit every day and made sure I was always trying my best. He made me feel like I was his own daughter and his top priority. I was not his only patient, and of the patients I have talked to, he made them all feel the same way. That is what I aspire to do. I want people to feel like they are the only thing that matters to me at the point in time because I know exactly what it feels like to be in that
