I would advocate for the following five programs to help parolees and current prisoners make it in the real world outside of prison. First I would start with a program inside the prisons that educates the prisoners to get their GEDs like prisons already do along with getting them training to learn a new trade to help them once they are released. The reason being that if they have the skills to do something with their lives them they might be more willing to turn to that instead of their past methods to survive on the streets. Once they have been put up for parole I feel that the prison should help them find a job before they are released so that they don’t have that added stress upon release.
