Wealth, fame, living in a big house, owning the latest version of fashion, technology, and cars, is what most people consider to be successful in this world. They think money and fame will bring success and happiness, but I oppose because I believe money is comparable to the often mentioned “new toy”, fun while it is brand new and fresh, but terribly uninteresting and unexciting after a few hours of play. Success to me is living life without no regrets and accomplishing every goal I have set, making my parents and friends proud of who I am. Although money can buy conveniences and comforts, but one needs much more than superficial luxuries to live a successful, well-balanced life. Money does make life easier, but it does not necessarily make it better. For example, I had a friend doing high school years who was fairly wealthy, he pay other students to do his homework and manage to get good grades through those years, but in result to that, he scored poorly on his ACTS. As you see, money can buy you grades or anything else, but can’t make one knowledgeable or wise that only comes with hard work and committed to study. This also leads on how being successful in love such as my parents long-term relationship of 23 years, takes commitment and sacrifice, and money can’t help one forge a long-term relationship with a husband or wife as my parents have, that only comes through real love.
