Massage therapy is a practice of accredited professionals of massage to accomplish better health conditions and well-being including functional, physical and psychological consequences. As an associated health and alternative or complementary medicine practice, massage therapy includes several types of massages that are originating from Eastern and Western practices by using numerous additional modalities of therapy such as acupuncture, energy therapies, reflexology, craniosacral therapy, Rolfing and etc.

They exposed incredible results of massage therapy as the treatment of ADHD. According to their research, there is evidence of massage therapy effectiveness in ADHD as after massage therapy, adolescents improved their mood as well as their classroom behavior. In addition to this, students affected by ADHD were found to have a significant improvement in task focusing. They showed improvement from 47% to 75% at the end of 10 consecutive days of school after a 15 minute massage therapy session. For treating the attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, non-medication therapy like massage therapy has been found very effective. So, massage therapy treatment is prevailing in the world as a management tool for ADHD. In most of recent studies, adolescents with ADHD who received ten massages for two weeks, rated more content than those who did not take part in the massage therapy. Actually, ADHD is a mental disorder that causes less attentiveness and response to a given task or any activity. Therefore, treatment of the disorder mainly focused through massage and other non-medication treatments. Patients subjected to ADHD should be treated with massages and pediatric therapies as it is a related treatment for mental disorders and with prompt results.
