Locavores are people who eat locally grown produced products. Many communities are debating if this is a good choice. I believe it is a very clever idea to eat local since it gives us a better quality of air and pollution, and even benefits the economy. Not only does it benefits us environmentally and economically, locally grown produce is always fresh and has more nutritional value. Eating local helps fight and reduces pollution around the globe. Local food is grown close to the consumer's houses in small farmlands and then transported to the consumers through short distances.
