Have you ever thought the reason you might be sleeping in class is because of the time school starts. Having later school starting times would benefit students in several ways. “Early start times in some schools also might play a role in lost sleep.” said KidsHealth.org. Most teens fall asleep at 11:00 or later, which causes a deficit when they wake up for school early in the morning. Another factor in causing less sleep is melatonin, a brain hormone, which doesn’t activate until later in the night for teens. More sleep will help you achieve higher academic grades in school.
