Germany is currently the fifth largest trading partner with the US. Germany is in the center of Europe which gives it a good position to attract business from multiple areas. The infrastructure of transportation is developed and Germany and continues to increase its standards consistently. There are few formal barriers to trade or invest with Germany; however it is very important to research the regional differences and areas of importance to the German people in order to be successful in this market. Germany has a higher cost of doing business which can be a risk, but the German people value a quality product over price which makes it easier to have a higher price on goods to offset the cost of doing business. Germany has a higher skilled labor force which will benefit a business in obtaining quality employees, although they will come at a higher cost as well.
