Some states are trying to bring cursive back into their school learning program, so that kids know how to use cursive. In my opinion, I think that cursive should still be taught in school today so that kids can have cursive to use if they get tired of using regular print in school. First cursive can help by taking notes faster so students will not fall behind and miss any of the notes need to take in college, Next cursive helps the left and right brain cells communicate better, lastly cursive is a skill that everybody will need to know for later in life. Also cursive makes the left and right brain cells work together so each side of your brain works better together. The brain cells working together can help because it can make think harder about stuff because of the cell communication.…

If what the author one says is to be believed, then teaching cursive in schools would still follow the guideline of providing tools for our children to apply knowledge and skills to future endeavors. In the many conversations with my children regarding the matter, as well as other various subjects, my biggest defense was always claiming that the teachers knew better than I. After have read both the above articles I agree with the opinions both authors and think both are equally valid. Just because technology has stripped away usefulness of cursvie writing, and just because we have smart phones with calculators on them doesnt mean we should still teach the basics. Teaching cursive should be taught just as math is even though we know technology defeats the entire purpose because learning the skill is more important than how we utilize it. Teaching students how to write in cursive, in my opinion, gives the students a better grasp and can help them in…
