An unhealthy lifestyle is a lifestyle where the person who is living it, is a threat to themselves and possibly others as well. With that being stated, it is so easy to go from a healthy lifestyle to an unhealthy lifestyle. People of today believe that life is too short to even think about the benefits of an unhealthy lifestyle, but end up paying for it in the long run. It isn’t too hard to live a healthy lifestyle , but the food that test the best to most people are the foods that are not healthy. Overall an unhealthy lifestyle takes positive health for granted. Individuals that have an unhealthy lifestyle take on activities that are detrimental to their health, eat unhealthy foods, and don’t exercise regularly and gain unnecessary weight. …show more content…
It also causes birth defects . Even when you buy cigarettes, on the packaging it states “SURGEON GENERAL WARNING: Smoking, causes lung cancer, heart disease, emphysema, and may complicate pregnancy,” which is the warning label on cigarette packages. When you smoke the cigarettes, the smoke from the leaves contains thousands of chemicals and most of those are harmful to the body. Cigarettes contain nicotine which is an addictive substance so that is why it is hard for people to quit smoking when they already started and this leads to an unhealthy lifestyle because individuals cannot seem to quit and not quitting leads to different health issues. Getting little sleep affects unhealthy lifestyles because sleep is the time that the body repairs the cells that have been damaged through the day of activity. The body also needs rest because if it doesn’t then it won’t work properly and you will wake up the next day feeling weak and grouchy. When you get good sleep you feel rested and strong. Not getting enough sleep is detrimental to living a healthy lifestyle because after awhile you it can take a huge toll on your body and you can even see the visual changes in the …show more content…
The food and ways of life we choose to take part on can cause us as individuals a life full of complications that are hard to deal with. An unhealthy lifestyle allows you to have a high chance of detrimental health which includes smoking and drinking, but both can be avoided by just deciding to quit or not starting at all. Eating unhealthy foods allows for the body to not produce the necessary nutrients it needs to keep you running at a good pace. Not exercising can leave you with a lot of gained weight and illnesses that are hard to get rid of. Everyone should want to live a long, enjoyable, and healthy lifestyle. No one should want to go to the doctors and hear the bad news of any illness or disease because you couldn 't take care of yourself while you were younger. If individuals do their research and see the detrimental effects an unhealthy lifestyle can cause them, they would want to live a healthy lifestyle. It isn 't hard to get into the habit of living healthy, the individual just has to be ready to accept the changes and understand that life will be much better in the long run if they stick to their goals of wanting a healthy
