An educational opportunity I have recently taken advantage of is the open access to AP courses my high school provides. Before I transferred to Lynwood High School my eleventh-grade year, the school I attended did not provide these courses. Now that I can take them, I chose the courses that will benefit the career path I plan to pursue. Before choosing my classes I looked up all the courses recommended for people wanting to become a dentist, the career I plan to pursue and chose those. It’s quite a challenge, but I’m glad I’m taking these courses. Not many people can get or have these courses so being able to take AP classes is extremely important to me.
