Introduction: I have always wanted to be a diesle mechanic since I was 16 years old. This paper talks about what the salary and benefits and what the different pay is for different states.My paper also talks about how high the demand for a diesle mechnc can be and how bad they are needed. I will also talk about my job shadow that I did and what went on on while I did my job shadow .

The hiring practices that I need to reach my goal of being a diesel mechanic is listed in figure 2 (see figure 2). One of the requirements to become a diesel mechanic is you need to have some sort of training that is in a collage area it will make it to where you will have a better chance of getting a job in the diesel mechanic force( “study” 2015). There are two degrees that you are going to want to have and those are: Diesel engine repair and a degree in diesel service technology (“Study” 2015). Before you can apply to be a diesel mechanic you have to get certified you have to take an exam to become a certified diesel mechanic (“Diesel Mechanic Schools” 2016).The name of the exam is called ASE( Automotive Services Excellence) certification test ( “Diesel Mechanic Schools” 2016). There Is training for the test the training will take about six months to a year and then you will have to go to school to take the exam and that will take two years to most people that took the test went to school first ( “Diesel Mechanics schools” 2014). Before you can even take the test you have to have a physical (Joyner, 2016). The physical includes of having a good sense of sight and good hearing they will not let anyone take the test if they do not have good sight (Joyner, 2016). Most of the diesel mechanic jobs are inside of a shop but, there are some diesel mechanic shops that can be on the road and they do expect you to work out in the severe weather (Joyner,
