Benefits and/or Negative Impacts in Iraq
The World Food Programme has been assisting Iraqis, to find jobs and fight against the intergenerational cycle of hunger and poverty. Some of the benefits include; employing people to work, provide food aid for millions, provide safety and create more awareness about the current issue. So far the World Food Programme has employed 11,000 of the most vulnerable people in Iraq in a program created to give them food and money, the cash-for-work program. Employment has helped Iraqis to help themselves out of the unbreakable cycle of poverty and hunger which has achieved the goal the WFP has made.
