How many of you like Green tea? What if I told you that besides tasting great, Green tea is also good for your overall health? “On any given day, more than one half of the American population drinks tea”, according to the TEA ASSOCIATION OF THE U.S.A. Green tea is a -powerhouse of antioxidants and nutrients that have a positive effect on the body. However, many people know very little about the health benefits associated with drinking green tea daily.
I have researched the topic extensively and I am an avid tea drinker. I feel it is my duty to inform you of the many benefits green tea offers. Green tea is an invigorating, natural way to improve your health and prolong your life. According to an article from the UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND MEDICAL CENTER, studies suggest that “cancer rates tend to be low in countries such as Japan where people regularly consume green tea”. Today I will educate you on what green tea is and how it can reduce risks of certain diseases.
Before discussing the benefits of green tea, let’s learn what tea is and where it comes from. Green tea, oolong tea, and black tea all originate from the subtropical Camellia Sinensis plant. Variations in processing and oxidation at different temperatures, humidity and time frames produce the different teas.
